Anxious about your junk removal appointment? Let us answer all your questions and ease your mind!

Booking a junk removal service is a big step toward reclaiming your space and your peace of mind. Whether you’re clearing out a basement, moving offices, or finally tackling that "catch-all" garage, it’s normal to have some pre-appointment jitters. You’ve likely chosen 1-800-GOT-JUNK? because we’re a trusted brand with professional teams and flexible scheduling, but you might still be wondering what happens after you book and what to expect when the truck arrives.

The most common questions are usually around cost, logistics, and what happens to your items after they leave the driveway. This guide will walk you through exactly how our junk removal process works, from  our pricing to what we do with your items.

How does 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s pricing work?

One of the most common questions we hear is, "How does 1-800-GOT-JUNK? charge?" Our pricing is primarily volume-based, meaning you only pay for the space your items take up in our truck.

While it’s tempting to want a firm quote over the phone, we require an in-person assessment to give you an accurate, final price. This is because junk comes in all shapes and sizes. Seeing your items in person allows us to provide a fair, upfront quote before any work begins. If you’re curious about general price ranges before we arrive, you can learn more about our pricing or explore how our volume-based pricing works.

When our friendly, uniformed team arrives, just point to the items you want gone. We’ll evaluate the volume of junk and provide a no-obligation quote. If the price doesn’t fit your budget, there’s no pressure. We can help you adjust the job scope right then and there to prioritize the items you need removed most. The best part? You don’t pay a cent until the job is done.
