Unveiling the top mattress recycling companies that are reshaping the landscape of responsible waste management. Join us in exploring how these industry leaders are making a difference, one mattress at a time.

What are mattress recycling companies?

Mattress recycling companies are dedicated to helping reduce our environmental footprint by recovering, repurposing, and reusing mattresses. They collect used mattresses from individuals and organizations and process them into recyclable materials. The recovered materials such as foam, fabrics, wood, metals, plastics, and more can then be used to produce new products.

By using mattress recycling services, we can reduce the amount of waste in landfills, help protect our environment and make a real difference in the world.

Who operates these companies?

Mattress recycling companies are typically operated by private businesses and organizations dedicated to sustainability. These may include mattress manufacturers, waste management companies, or other local or regional enterprises that specialize in recycling mattresses. The services they offer vary depending on the region and company but will generally involve pickup services and/or the breaking down of mattresses into recyclable components for reuse in new products.

Some local governments also operate mattress recycling facilities. For example, the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) runs a program called Bye Bye Mattress that is designed to promote responsible disposal of mattresses throughout the state. Other government-run programs may also include grants or incentives for businesses that practice recycling in their area.

Importance of mattress recycling

Mattress recycling is an important service for society and the environment. Each year, millions of beds and mattresses are discarded or replaced with newer models, leading to many potentially hazardous materials entering our landfills. By using mattress recycling companies, we can help reduce the negative impact by preventing hazardous materials from entering our environment.

Mattress recycling also helps to create jobs and boost local economies by providing employment opportunities for those involved in the recycling process while also conserving natural resources.

For these reasons, we should all look to mattress recycling companies to help us sustain a green future.

How does 1-800-GOT-JUNK? charge for junk removal?

We price based on how much space your items take up in the back of our truck, broken down into ⅛, ¼, ½, ¾ of a truckload, all the way up to a full truckload. Our trucks hold the equivalent of seven pickup trucks.

We offer single item pricing for certain items such as mattresses or TVs, sometimes this will be less than our minimum charge.

For materials that have a heavy cubic weight like dirt, concrete, and gravel, pricing is based on the total volume that the material takes up in the truck, up to a maximum of one foot in height for a full truck.
