After typically being charged around $100 by various local and national service centers just to drive to my home and provide an estimate for anticipated work, I found 1-800 GotJunk’s business model refreshing and easy to work with. They basically come to your house and give you a free estimate—no charge even if you decline to work with them. Once I filled out my information and scheduled an appointment online, Dylan contacted me the morning of the visit to let me know more precisely when within the 2-hour window I’d booked they would be arriving. He and his associate were very friendly and upbeat. They explained how they calculated their fees for removing items, and were understanding of my situation, happily willing to negotiate with me and call their main office on my behalf. I was satisfied with the price we arrived at, and more than satisfied with their work—the sleeper sofa I had them dispose of was heavy and hard to carry down the stairs from the second floor and out of the house. They were careful not to hit the walls or banister and they moved the outdoor furniture back to where I had it originally. I would definitely work with them again.
