Eric Blum
Hi there! My name is Eric Blum, and I'm the proud owner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Pittsburgh. I was in the information Technology industry for 7 years before purchasing the franchise. The reason I chose to join the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? family is because I wanted to own my own business like my father, sister and both grandfathers. I was not happy with my previous career and wanted to try something new. The part I enjoy most about being a franchise partner is helping grow my employees. It's important to me to help the team build their careers, with most of our managers being promoted from within. (Many of them started on the trucks!) I also enjoy watching employees that worked for me learn and take their skills to further their careers. We have had former team members become doctors, lawyers, police officers, and nurses.
We love to get involved in the community by donating items that we pick up to local charities and we also donate money and services to local organizations and charities. Outside of work, I am an Assistant Scoutmaster with our Scouts BSA Troop and both of my sons are working towards their Eagle Scout rank. I also enjoy going to car shows, driving events, and traveling with my family.
