Hi, my name is Alex Wallis and I own the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise in Buffalo. My first job out of college was with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Philadelphia North where I was hired on as the Operations Manager. After 5 years, I became a Field Operations Manager for 1-800-GOT-JUNK? at the corporate office. I’ve stayed with this company because the culture is truly awesome. (People first!) Also, the advancement roadmap for my career was clear and the opportunities are endless.
Now that I’m a franchise owner, I’m excited about helping our employees realize their dreams and achieve their own goals. By teaching them life skills to be used across any field, we help our employees succeed in ways other employers typically do not. I’m also looking forward to continuing the great community work that the Buffalo franchise has been doing over the last 20+ years. We aim to recycle and donate as much junk as possible and continue to make donations to our local Buffalo charities, including Buffalo City Mission, St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy, and Buffalo's Harvest House. The Buffalo 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise has been involved in helping the city clean up local parks and waterways through the Keep America Clean program.
I love that this business brought me back home to western New York. Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife Emily and our daughter Nora. Fishing and golfing are also favorites when time allows.
